How long is the wait for home, bathroom, or kitchen renovations?

Normally 6-8 weeks.

What is your standard hourly rate?

Hourly rate is normally $95 per hour.

How much is a home project consultation?

Home Consultation Fee is $200, which you can apply toward the project.

Can I send photos of the space we want renovated?

Absolutely. In fact we encourage sending photos of the space you have now, and the space you want to create.

Do you charge by the hour?

Yes, our hourly rate is $95 p/hour, with a minimum of $195 for any job. Plus materials cost.

Is there a deposit required for work?

Yes, minimum deposit is $195.

Are there any hidden charges like travel?

No.. We always provide an estimate upfront. You will always have whatever information we can offer so you can make an educated decision.

Are you insured?

Yes, Harmonic Home Services is fully insured

Are you licensed electricians?

Yes, we are. We are fully licensed and insured for electrical in the state of Illinois.

Can you handle a larger renovation?

Yes and no. We limit ourselves to one room at a time. We are able to general contract for specific trades if needed but if you are remodeling your entire home or wanting an addition then we refer that service out to a local contractor.

Can you tile bathrooms and/or kitchens?

Yes! We are exceptional tile workers. We can handle your tiling project from small to large, including:

  • Floors
  • Full custom showers
  • Tub surrounds
  • Backsplashes
Can you use the materials I already have?

Of course. If you want to do the shopping, we are happy to oblige. Sometimes we might give you a list of specific items, but if you want to control cost by getting materials yourselves then we are more than OK with that.

Do you accept credit cards?

Sure do.

Do you have your own tools?

Yes, we have all our own tools. Never will we need to use equipment or tools of yours. We are true pros with our own tools and equipment.

Do you install hardwood floors?

Yes, we can install prefinished (prefinished ONLY) wood flooring among other types of flooring materials.

Do you paint?

Sure we can paint. We can handle small projects or a room at a time. There is nothing wrong with getting the old-fashioned brush and roller out. However, If you need specialty painting such as cabinets or trim spray, then we refer that out.

Do you provide materials?

Yes, we can if you need us to. Just let us know what you want/ need and we can do the rest.

Do you refinish hardwood floors?

No, we recommend you use a hardwood flooring company to sand and stain your floors.

Do you repair hardwood floors?

No, similar to refinishing, we recommend a special contractor for this work.

Do you replace doors?

Yes, we replace interior and exterior doors. If you have a product you want, then we can install it. Or if you need help ordering, we can help with that too.

Do you replace windows?

Yes, we replace windows. We typically limit it to 1 or 2 windows. If you need all of your windows replaced then we refer that to another local contractor.

Do you work after hours or on weekends?

Sorry, but we are only available during regular business hours.

Do you work on decks?

Yes and no. We can repair and refinish almost all decks. We don’t, however, tear them down and rebuild or build decks from scratch.

How much drywall work can you handle?

We usually handle no larger than a 4’x4’ section if you need it finished to paint ready. We do not drywall entire basements or renovation projects. Small repair/ cosmetic jobs or patchwork necessary after our electrical work is what we do well.

How much is electrical repair?

Our service call diagnostic fee is $99. Once we have diagnosed your problem we will provide an upfront quote. With your approval, we will then proceed to repair. All charges are approved upfront. When we give you a price we stick to it!

What if I only have small odd jobs?

No problem at all. We have a 2-hour minimum charge of $195 and then $95 for every hour after for whatever sort of odd job list you may have.

What outdoor projects do you avoid?

While we certainly handle some outdoor projects there are large projects we cannot facilitate at this time. Outdoor projects we refer to other contractors are:

  • Siding
  • Large-scale exterior painting and caulking
  • Landscaping
  • Masonry
  • Shed builds
  • Play-set structures builds
  • Medium to large concrete pours
  • Asphalt
  • Asphalt sealing
What type of electrical projects do you do?

The short answer is all of it. From remodel to repair, we are experts. Here is a short list of what we often do.

  • Under cabinet LED lighting
  • Lighting fixture upgrades
  • Ceiling fan install
  • Recessed lighting
  • Bathroom exhaust fans
  • Dimmer switches
  • Panel replacement and upgrade
  • Code compliance upgrades
  • New circuits

And all sorts of REPAIR needs.
